Scope: 115 of 119 institutions viewed from archive screenshots (home plus one other page each, thumbnails of the top of the page, 369 images, in 15 contact sheets). Not viewed: ge_healthcare (228-megapixel capture too large to decode here), hca_healthcare, ihh_healthcare, max_healthcare (no usable thumbnail produced). This is a top-of-page review only; full-page depth was read from the archive's notes.md and nav_tree.md, not from pixels.
- einstein: home capture is a blank page with an error line.
- ping_an_health: domain-for-sale page (pahealth.com), not the institution.
- charite about: a 404 page. verily products: 404.
- bumrungrad products: telemedicine login QR, not content.
- manipal_hospitals: country-picker modal covers both captures.
- helios: cookie consent wall covers both captures.
- siemens_healthineers products: region modal. mskcc, md_anderson, mount_sinai, sysmex, terumo: cookie banners cover the lower part.
- tempus home.jpg is blank; the home_archive capture is usable.
- jd_health: only an archive-style category list, text-only.
- Several "products" captures are really careers pages (boston_scientific, cc_abu_dhabi, cvs_health, danaher, regeneron, unitedhealth_group, ramsay, recursion). Product evidence for those lives in notes.md, not the screenshot.
1. Photo-led hero with a person looking at or toward the viewer, over a find-a-doctor or search box. This is the default of hospitals (Boston Children's, Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain, Northwell, NYP, UCSF, Mount Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Narayana, Fortis, Medanta, Raffles, Sheba). Emotional, trust-by-face, little structure on first screen.
2. Pharma and big biotech split in two: bright block colour plus one large editorial sentence (Novartis, Pfizer, Regeneron, Vertex, Novo Nordisk, Bayer, Sanofi, CSL, Merck), versus quiet institutional white with a corporate-profile feel (Takeda, Daiichi Sankyo, Astellas, Sun Pharma).
3. Tech-bio and health-tech use dark ground, gradient glow and abstract molecular or data imagery (insitro, Recursion, Tempus, Verily, Flatiron, WuXi AppTec, M42, Siemens Healthineers). Visually the most "designed", and the only group with any real 3D (Celltrion and insitro detect WebGL).
4. Public systems and academic bodies are typographic and dense (NHS England, WHO, AIIMS, Erasmus MC, Karolinska, Epic's newsroom). Karolinska's plum panel plus pale mint menu tiles and GOSH's blue-block children's hospital grid are the two most distinctive of this group.
5. Search is the hero on Mayo, Cedars-Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Intermountain, Ada, Samsung Medical Center, Narayana, Erasmus MC, UCSF, Sheba, Teladoc. Mayo and Narayana add an A-Z letter strip for conditions.
6. Numbers as proof: Bayer (160 years, 600 products, 88,087 employees), Kaiser fast facts, Fortis, Serum Institute, Boston Children's rankings badges.
7. Almost no site explains how the body works or how to read evidence in the page itself. Content is care routing, product catalogues, pipeline or careers. The anatomical or physiological explainer is unclaimed.
8. Nobody uses 3D as navigation. Where it appears it is a hero image, not structure.
9. Clutter that hurts: chat widgets and popups over the hero (Apollo, Boston Children's, Epic cookie bar, CVS survey modal), consent walls (Helios), careers banners as top-level promos.
