Evidence base: design/healthcare/archive (119 notes.md, nav trees, DOM extractions), fields/healthcare/SYNTHESIS.md (archive's own), and pixel-review.md. Everything below about real organisations is from those; everything proposed is ours.
119 institutions sell care, drugs, devices or data. None teaches. Mynd Healthcare as built (117 plain-language explainers on how the body works, how tests and treatments are judged, how to read evidence) is the unclaimed lane. The leap is to make that the institution's visible architecture, with the structural strengths of the best references and none of their clutter.
1. Search as the front door with an A-Z strip (Mayo, Narayana, Samsung MC, Cedars). Home gets a large search plus a letter strip into the 117 articles. Today search is a separate page.
2. Audience doors (Mayo's five doors, Erasmus MC, GOSH): "I am trying to understand a symptom or test", "I am reading a study", "I am a student", "I am a clinician". Map onto existing 9 sections, no new content claims.
3. Content-type templating (Mayo, Cleveland): each article type gets one strict template (explainer, glossary, method, FAQ, guide). Already partly true; make the types visible as labels and filters.
4. One governed design system, published as a page (NHS England lesson): tokens, type scale, components. Honest, about our own site only.
5. Numbers as proof, but only real ones (Bayer, Kaiser): a "this site in numbers" strip using true counts (pages, words, diagrams, sections). No claims about Mynd operations.
6. 3D as navigation, not wallpaper (nobody does it, the study's open slot): replace the node-path with a body-systems atlas whose regions open the sections (circulation, respiration, nervous, digestive, immune, endocrine, musculoskeletal, evidence). Built as a custom Three.js model, with a flat SVG fallback for mobile and reduced motion.
7. Distinct identity from the live theme: leave the beige paperback register. Candidate: clinical-editorial, deep pine and bone, with a signal vermilion for evidence markers, serif display plus mono for numbers (Karolinska's plum-and-mint and Roche's editorial type are the nearest references, neither copied).
8. Diagram per major page (WHO and Thermo Fisher use diagrams; most others use only photos): grow from 3 SVG diagrams to one per section minimum.
9. Remove what hurts: no popups, no chat widget, no careers promo, no autoplay carousels (Apollo, Boston Children's, CVS pixel findings).
10. Reading-first article layout with a persistent "evidence level" rail (our own device, not in the set).
- The archive's captures are top-of-page; sitemap numbers for 36 of 119 were read locally (the archive says 83 have readable sitemaps).
- 8 institutions have capture defects (see pixel-review.md); notes-only evidence for those.
- This is design intelligence, not endorsement of any organisation, and not facts about Mynd.
